Sheesh! So I took an unplanned blog break. Life gets busy and before I know it, months have gone by and I've neglected the blog.
To get back into the 'rhythm' of blogging I thought I would spend part of the week sharing some of what I've been up to this past summer and fall.
I spent July getting ready for Arts In Action at the Port Angeles City Pier.
Great sand sculptures on the beach for the event!
In September I had an awesome opportunity to go visit the Tom Bihn factory in Seattle. Tom was so kind to invite me, and June was so generous with her time, showing me all the aspects of what makes the factory run successfully. It was inspiring and motivating, and I really appreciated their kindness toward me.
This is where they do their cutting.

Every single bag is inspected, inside and out, before it leaves the factory.

Tom started out like me, making bags for his friends from his home. His business grew, and he previously had his shop and studio here in Port Angeles. When an opportunity came up for a factory space in Seattle, it was the perfect fit and he moved his operations over there. He has a very successful business and I'm sure he's put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into running a business that he's passionate about.
His bags are incredible, (I own a Brain Bag, for my iBook) and well made. Be sure to check them out here.
Today is Cyber Monday.. Supposedly, the kick-off for the online holiday shopping season. I took a load of packaged orders to the Post Office this morning, and I'm hoping the momentum keeps building for the next few weeks. My Etsy shop is stocked and ready!
