Can you please tell me what happened to July? This has been one of the busiest summers I can remember in awhile. And the hottest!
During the week I'm very busy sewing. And on weekends I'm busy doing this:

It's been difficult for me to take much time off this summer. Sales are BRISK at the Markets and shows and online! It's all I can do to keep up this summer.
But my husband and I dedicated a day off to do some car shopping. His big red truck was just too much of a gas hog, and we really could no longer justify having a truck. It was time for a change. So off we went, with our list of cars to look at in hand.
I have to admit, we were a little melancholy letting go of that truck.
That is, until we finally decided on this nice little VW sedan! (Don't you hate dealing with car salesmen? I know they're just trying to earn a living like the rest of us, but I hate all of the back and forth dealing!)

Phew! We're glad to have that done - and we love our new car!
I also had my Grandsons here for the good part of a week.
Making Paint Bombs!

I had intentions of trying to get some work done while they were here, but then the reality of having 4 & 6 year old boys in the house hit. Let's just say the sewing machine was running late into the night, after bedtimes.
This week's all about catching up on online orders. If you've ordered from me recently, your package should be on it's way in the next day or two.

I rode my bike into the Post Office this afternoon to get some of the orders on their way. Riding my bike into the town is a win-win: I get something accomplished + I get to ride my bike!!

So, how is your Summer going? Is it a busy one, or more laid back?
